Many countries have different types of Christmas dinners. In China and Japan, every 25th December means KFC. They all sit down with a heavy and hearty meal of KFC fried chicken and enjoy their Christmases; orders are placed in advance months before. For dessert they have strawberry shortcake. Where in two major countries people order their Christmas dinners, in UK and USA people prepare roast turkeys and beef with sautéed vegetables, mashed/roasted potatoes, pigs in a blanket, Brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce and gravy. For dessert, they have trifle, apple, pecan, pumpkin or mincemeat pie.
In Australia, popular Christmas foods include: prawns, oysters, BBQ, cold ham and turkey, potato bake, fruits, trifle, Christmas pudding, pavlova and alcohol. Now let’s make a Christmas food shopping list for your special Christmas dinner today.
