Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a widely known residential development scheme introduced by the Indian Government in 2015 to offer people budget-friendly housing. The plan also encourages the utilization of environmentally friendly construction materials for buildings.

The PMAY service has two main sections, PMAY Gramin (PMAY-G) and PMAY Urban (PMAY-U).

PMAY-U includes almost 4,300 towns and cities that support Groups I and II Middle-Income Individuals. PMAY-G involves Economically Lower Individuals from the villages, slums, and other rural regions.

Components of PMAY

There are four elements of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. They are:

• In-situ Slum Rehabilitation (ISSR) settlements: This scheme applies to slum residents. In this scheme, the Indian Government has offered a total of 1 lakh per home.
• Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP): The scheme applies to people who do not possess their own land for house construction or do not qualify for housing loans. Under this system, the Indian Government has granted 1.50 Lakh per house.
• Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC): This system applies to people keen on constructing a home or improving the current one. The Indian Government has granted 1.50 Lakh per house, analogous to the AHP, under this plan.
• Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS): This plan applies to eligible home loan individuals. The benefactors may use a subsidy of up to 6.5% annually. This is given as a house loan interest according to this plan.

How can we apply for a house under PMAY?

The Housing and Urban Development Ministry has developed a simple procedure that enables people to seek a home following the scheme. The application form essentially has two sections and involves individuals filling in all the vital details in it.

The first page involves the option of ‘Enter the Aadhaar Number.’ The application will move to the next section once the Aadhaar Number is confirmed. The second page requires the fulfilment of an individual’s personal information. We must provide details of the province in which we reside, the head of the house, present home address, and other important information.

How to check the status of the PMAY application?

• It is an easy task to apply to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Checking the status online of the PMAY application is as easy as applying for it. By pursuing the mentioned steps, we can look up the status of the application:
• Start by reaching the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s approved website: pmaymis.gov.in.
• Choose the ‘Citizen Assessment’ option, and a drop-down menu appears with a list of options.
• The next step is to choose the ‘Track Your Assessment Status’ option from the drop-down list.

• After choosing the option, you will land on a fresh ‘Track Assessment Form’ page, where we must finish the PMAY check utilizing either of the two alternatives from below:

By Father’s Name and Mobile Number

After the previous steps, we can opt for the option ‘By Name, Father’s Name & Mobile No.’ Please see the PMAY status. Once you have clicked on this option, the following specifics will be requested:

•  City Name
• State Name
• Mobile No. (Of the applicant)
• Name (of the applicant)
• The father’s Name
• District Name

We must “Submit” the full form, and the site will display the status of your application for PMAY.

PMAY Check by Assessment ID

The second option for checking is using the assessment ID. Clicking on the ‘By Assessment ID’ option on the ‘Track Assessment Form’ page will let you check the PMAY utilizing the Assessment ID. The page will request you to give two details after you have a tap on the alternative.

• Mobile Number
• Assessment ID

Clicking the ‘Submit’ button after filling the full form will give the status of the application.

However, the applicant assessment ID is available to monitor PMAY status. On the authorized webpage we can safely enter the PMAY ID. Later, click on the ‘Search Beneficiary’ button, and after filling in the necessary information, we would finish the PMAY ID check.
